Our Kindergarten (Sam’s Garden)
Sam’s Garden is our dedicated early-years building, created with the generous support of the Samartha Saxena Foundation. Bright, welcoming, and purpose-built for younger learners, it includes both indoor and outdoor play spaces so children can learn through movement, games, and hands-on exploration in every season.
The building serves students from Playschool through Class 3 and is designed to make daily school life smooth and comfortable. Inside you’ll find 9 classrooms, a large play room, a staff room, office spaces, washrooms, and practical storage areas. The classrooms are spacious—ideal for crafts, activities, and group learning—and our younger classes have heaters for the winter to keep the learning environment warm and consistent. Sam’s Garden is also connected to the main block via an undercover walkway, making transitions easy and safe in sun or rain.
High School Building (Science, Arts, Music & Admin)
Our High School building brings academics and student life together in one central space designed for focused learning and a vibrant school culture. A standout feature is the multi-storey Samartha Saxena Science Wing, which houses our science, music, and art rooms along with six classrooms—creating a dedicated zone for practical learning, creativity, and skill-building.
Across the building, the school has a total of 16 classrooms, complemented by the key spaces that keep daily operations running smoothly: a comfortable staff room, a kitchen, storage areas, and our administration block (including the main office, Principal’s office, and Chairman’s office). A large, welcoming foyer provides a clear arrival point where parents and visitors are received. For teaching and presentation, our senior classrooms are equipped with digital whiteboards to support interactive lessons and visual learning. The building also features our main stage and a central open courtyard—the heart of morning assemblies, performances, celebrations, and school programs.
Learning Resource Center (LRC)
The Samartha Saxena Memorial Learning Resource Center (LRC) is our hub for reading, research, and digital learning—designed to help students build strong study habits and a genuine love for books. The main library is a large, well-lit open space with multiple dedicated rooms and over 9,000 books in the main stacks, giving older students the depth they need for wider reading and reference.
For younger readers, the LRC includes a dedicated junior area with its own welcoming space and over 1,000 books—helping children discover reading in a way that feels fun and accessible. Quiet reading rooms support focused study, and a spacious air-conditioned reading room can also be used for multi-purpose learning activities, chess competitions and small group sessions. Outside, a garden reading area creates an inviting place for students to sit, read, and recharge.
In addition to the 6 computers in the library digital learning section, information technology learning is supported through our main computer lab with 45 computers, equipped with the latest software. Students receive regular practical computer lessons, supporting skills, projects, and structured learning time.
Grounds, Sports & Campus Spaces
Beyond the buildings, Maxton Strong School opens into some of the most spacious grounds in the area—widely known as the largest school grounds in Banbasa. These open spaces are designed for movement, sport, and community, with dedicated areas for a wide range of activities: cricket batting nets behind the LRC, a full cricket oval, multiple playground spaces, a kabaddi ground, and plenty of open areas for games, practice, and school events. Students also have seating and shaded hang-out spots to relax during recess, with gardens full of flowers adding colour and calm across the campus.
Sport is a major part of life at Maxton. We regularly host inter-school competitions—football, cricket, volleyball, kabaddi, and more—bringing students together in healthy, spirited competition. We also provide annual swimming lessons using the swimming pool at The Good Shepherd Agricultural Mission, giving students a practical, life-saving skill and building confidence in the water.
